Faith is a truly wonderful thing. If we believe in ourselves, there is nothing we cannot do. God is a being that exists within our faith. The more we believe in Him, the more He can do for us. Jesus taught us the parable of the mustard seed. He said we can move a mountain with the faith of a mustard seed. How incredible is that? Our religion is based solely on faith. We cannot see God, or prove His existence to anyone. He is felt all around us, and breathes within each living being. Science cannot prove Him, but our faith alone tells us He is real. Our Heavenly Father exists because of our faith in Him.
Faith Is An Invaluable Tool
Faith is an invaluable tool for our life. If we pray to recover from illness, we need faith. It’s through our faith that we may have our prayers answered. Each prophet existed through their faith in the bible. God willed His presence into their lives. Their faith let them overcome each obstacle before them. Have you faced great peril in your life? How was your faith then? Did you feel God was going to save you? It’s through our trials that our faith is strengthened.
Faith, The Cornerstone Of Belief
Faith is the cornerstone of our belief. In order for us to believe in something, we have to have faith. When we take medicine, we have to believe it will cure us. It’s through our faith in God that we can be healed. Just like medicine, we have to believe God will help us. Belief is dependent on faith. Our beliefs are shaped by many things in life. Likewise, our faith is shaped by our experiences with Christ. God waits on us patiently. Our faith dictates what He can do for us. Our spirituality let’s know that He is there. We must have faith in our Lord.
Faith, The Belief In The Unseen
Faith is the biggest stumbling block for the nonbeliever. It’s impossible to rationalize the existence of God with the unbeliever. We are told to believe in a benevolent, omnipotent, invisible God. This God exists without a physical body on Earth. It’s much easier to believe in something we can see. God is much like a ghost. A ghost is something you cannot see or prove. However, just like a ghost, you can feel God’s presence. He is there in the most uncertain of times. God wants us to believe in Him, as His greatest pleasure is knowing His children. With faith, we can feel His grasp in our lives. We must let Him work through us.
God Is A Mystery
The bible says God is a mystery. Perhaps this states the ideology behind faith. God is something no one, not even the prophets, can explain fully. Our faith connects us to Him. The more we pray and do His will, the more we will come to know Him. Through the gift of the Holy Spirit, we are able to interpret His word. We receive this gift through baptism. Baptism is symbolic of rebirth in Christ. Water, in ancient times, was the symbol of life. By reading the word of God, we can strengthen our faith. The bible testifies to a living God and contains His wisdom and the stories of His prophets. The prophecies in the bible point us to His Eternal Kingdom. Our faith can be built by learning from the example of Jesus.
Finding A Church
I wanted to share this message on faith here on Sunday. Were you able to make it to church today? Some places still have churches closed in the United States. If you haven’t joined a church yet, please look into it as they reopen. If these really are the end times, we need to hold onto Jesus. We can gain fellowship and support within a church. It’s like having an extended family. Also, if you aren’t able to make it to a church, remember that networks like Daystar and TBN have great Christian programming. Stay safe and remember to wear a mask and practice social distancing. May you be blessed in Christ!
